Social Emotional Learning

We are committed to supporting you and your family throughout this crisis. We feel it is really important to continue to support our students social-emotional learning development during this time. Our Mental Health & Educational Counselor, Mrs. Ackley, has put together these Social Emotional Learning resources for you and your child to continue the SEL we were doing this academic year as part of the Second Step Program.  These lessons, available below, focus on building continued emotional management skills as your child copes with navigating through this school closure.

Second Step has also suggested the following websites to help support families during this time:

Practicing daily self-care and coping strategies as a family is vital to supporting mental health. Four things to do everyday together to support wellbeing are: 1) Exercise, 2) Eat healthy meals, 3) Social support - connect with friends & family, and 4) Stress reduction activities - such as yoga, mindfulness,  journaling, or drawing.

We want to support you and your student’s emotional wellbeing and we hope these activities and resources will be of help. Even though we are living in an unprecedented time, we truly believe we can still help our students thrive!
